Adult education

The responsibility of any church is to educate and equip God's people so that they grow spiritually in Christ, are strengthened as a church community, and go with him into their city and throughout the world as Gospel ambassadors. So, through our adult education and equipping ministry here at Grace Covenant, we are challenging, encouraging, and equipping our congregation in the areas of:

  • Word
  • Prayer
  • Theology
  • Church
  • City
  • World

Our Adult Ed class meets each Sunday morning at 9:00 in the Worship Area. To learn more, please contact Rev. Camper Mundy at 757.220.0147 (church office) or

Adult Sunday School

"All believers are called to make disciples. By thinking clearly about the gospel, we will find the proper motivation to work together as a church to share the gospel message with those who are lost without Christ."

Each Sunday morning, from 9am to 9:45am, we will be exploring what it means to be a "Gospel-Shaped Community" with a message of hope for a broken and needy world.

Discovery Class

Discovery Class is for people who would like to learn more about Grace Covenant and our beliefs, values, and connections.  Discovery Class is required for anyone interested in joining our church, but a commitment to church membership is not required to participate.

The Discovery Class is a six week course offered during the Adult Education Hour twice each year, beginning in September and February. Discovery Weekend is an opportunity to participate, covering the same information, but over the course of a single weekend. Discovery Weekend is presently offered in June.

For information about the next Discovery Class, email us at info@gracecovpca.org.

Friday Night Book Club

"Social justice is not optional for the Christian. All injustice affects others, so talking about justice that isn't social is like talking about water that isn't wet or a square with no right angles. But the Bible's call to seek justice is not a call to superficial, kneejerk activism. We are not merely commanded to execute justice, but to 'truly execute justice'. The God who commands us to seek justice is the same God who commands us to "test everything" and "hold fast to what is good.

- Thaddeus Williams

We all long for justice. We just do not always agree exactly what true justice is and is not. Author and Professor Thaddeus Williams has tackled this tough - but essential - subject in a book titled Confronting Injustice Without Compromising Truth.  Check out this  2-minute promo video:

One Friday each month, Grace Covenant's Tim Nargi and Alli Nuckols will be hosting an ongoing discussion of each of the twelve key questions Christ-followers should ask as we seek to engage the world around us and obey God's command to "do justice". (Micah 6.8) This is an open gathering. All are welcome!

See Jesus workshop

Grace Covenant is host to regional SeeJesus Workshop, in partnership with SeeJesus Ministries.  Twice each year SeeJesus staff and trainers hold a workshop at our Williamsburg campus.

How it works… This seminar is set up like a small group where everyone is an involved learner. You can sign up as a trainee or as a participant. As our template, we use the Person of Jesus study. Trainees will receive the lesson they will lead via email, a week in advance of the seminar. You will need to read through it three times prior to the seminar. Light supper is provided Friday at 6 pm. Continental breakfast and lunch provided on Saturday.

What do people get out of it? Love for Jesus expands; it is worship! People want to pass it on, and the training helps to encourage and empower them.
