Dennis and his wife Carolyn moved to Williamsburg in October 2012 to begin ministry with Grace Covenant. Dennis has served as a pastor in the PCA for more than twenty years, previously leading churches in East Tennessee, Western Pennsylvania, and Northwest Georgia. He completed his M.Div. at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. Prior to seminary, Dennis worked as a sales manager and announcer for a local radio station in Knoxville, TN and also began serving the local church at that time. Both Dennis and his wife Carolyn did their undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee, where Dennis was also a reserve quarterback for the Volunteers football team. Dennis grew up in suburban Philadelphia, and spent his high school years in Broken Arrow, OK and Nashville, TN - where he became a follower of Jesus Christ through the influence of Young Life. Carolyn grew up in Knoxville. They were married in 1989, and have three grown children and one granddaughter: Andrew, and his wife Stephenie, live in Bristol, Tennessee; Matthew, and his wife Lauren, live in Bluff City, Tennessee with their daughter Hollin; and Rebekah, is an elementary school teacher in Alexandria, Virginia.
Dennis serves a board member for 3e Restoration; and as Associate Staff/Project Associate for MTW's Mission to the Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina. Carolyn Griffith is Head of School at Covenant Christian School here in Williamsburg.
