Grace Covenant has a long history of raising up and sending out from our own number some who serve Christ's Church as faithful ministers of the the gospel in a variety of capacities, ministries, and denominations, and in different places around the world. Matt spend 18 years with Young Life, including a stint as Area director for Young Life Williamsburg.  During his time in Williamsburg, Matt and Trina, and their three children, were much loved and integral members of our Grace Covenant family. After leaving Williamsburg, Matt served for a time at Bread of Life Anglican Church in Ithaca, NY, and now serves as Recttr at St Francis Anglican Parish in Sanford, NC.

taylor & Cynthia howsmon

Meadowcreek refomed presbyterian church  -  lexington, nc

Taylor is a former Grace Covenant staff member, having served as our Director of Youth Ministries from 2014-2018.  Cynthia is a William & Mary alumnus, who was active at Grace Covenant during her undergrad days, and again after returning to Williamsburg to work at her alma mater. Taylor & Cynthia met at Grace Covenant and  subsequently, in 2018, moved to Charlotte for Taylor to attend Reformed Theological Seminary. In June 2019 Taylor joined the staff at Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church in Lexington, NC, where he oversees ministries to Children, Youth, and Young Adults. Taylor & Cynthia have one child, daughter Naomi Rebecca Howsmon, born in January 2020.

Adam is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with extensive training with The Allender Center. Through his writing, podcast, and Engaging Your Story conference, Adam uses his training and counseling skills to equip and inspire people to engage their own stories in deep and transformative ways. 


Adam is a graduate of College of William & Mary, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Emory University. During Adam's undergrad years at William & Mary he regularly worshipped with us here at Grace Covenant,

Bob loker

Ministries director @ SeeJesus

Bob is a former Elder at Grace Covenant, and now serves as Director of Ministries for SeeJesus


Bob, who grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico, spent seventeen years working for the U.S. Government at embassies in Ecuador, Uruguay, and Panama before settling in Virginia with his wife, Becky. Bob and his wife Becky were beloved members of Grace Covenant. They met in high school, and were married for 47 years, before Becky passed away in 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob later retired after twenty years as president and co-owner of Shaia Oriental Rugs of Williamsburg. Bob has three daughters and nine grandchildren.  Bob loves biking and kayaking and lives in Purcellville, VA.
