We consider it a privilege to care for your child as you join us for our Sunday education hour and worship service. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment in which we model the joy and love Jesus Christ has for His children.
During the Sunday education hour we offer nursery care for children up through age 2. For children ages 3 through 5th grade we offer Sunday School in the following classes: preschool-Kindergarten, Young Elementary (1st-3rd grades), and Older Elementary (4th-5th grades). The education hour begins at 10:00 and children 3rd grade and younger begin the hour together in room 108 for an opening time of praise through singing.
While children are always welcome in the worship service, we do offer several options for younger children. Infant and toddler nurseries are provided through age 2. Children ages 3-5 are dismissed prior to the sermon if they would like to participate in Children's Church, and Catechism Club is offered at the same time for children in kindergarten through third grade. Pre-school worship bags with a Bible, crayons and coloring page are available in the Commons. Additionally, a weekly "Children's Bulletin" is provided in the Commons for older children.
The leaders and volunteers at Grace Covenant work very hard to provide a loving, clean, and safe environment for your child and take our God given responsibility very seriously. We view Children's Ministry as an opportunity to prepare kids for life as followers of Jesus Christ. Therefore, all our curriculum disciples children by rooting them firmly in the Bible. All volunteers also submit to a background check and participate in a detailed training in order to serve in Grace Covenant’s Children’s Ministry.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child. We consider each and every one a precious gift from God. If you have any questions, please contact our Director of Children's Ministries, Starr VanWingerden, at the church office at (757) 220-0147 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
