Adult education

The responsibility of any church is to educate and equip God's people so that they grow spiritually in Christ, are strengthened as a church community, and go with him into their city and throughout the world as Gospel ambassadors. So, through our adult education and equipping ministry here at Grace Covenant, we are challenging, encouraging, and equipping our congregation in the areas of:

Our Adult Ed class meets each Sunday morning at 10:00 in the Worship Area during the school year and 9:00 during the summer (beginning May 24). To learn more, please contact Rev. Camper Mundy at 757.220.0147 (church office) or

Women's Ministries

The purpose of Women's Ministry at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church is to encourage women to grow in grace and truth by providing:

  1. Intentional openings for deeper personal connection and friendship,
  2. Bible study including intercessory prayer, and
  3. Biblically-based counseling avenues. In combination, these opportunities strengthen mutual encouragement and Spirit-led transformation of women into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

Because of Christ, we desire to live out the reality of John 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

    See jesus workshop

Join us for an encounter with Jesus on Friday and Saturday, November 1-2, 2019

The See Jesus Workshop is designed to transform small group ministry and renew your love for Jesus by training you to lead interactive Bible studies.  Imagine being able to lead a Bible study with confidence with your small group or Sunday school or even at work or in your neighborhood!  You'll learn a new skill while you deepen your love for Jesus and Scripture.  Join us for a day of wonder and encouragement as we discover together the beauty of Jesus!

This workshop is set up like a small group where everyone is an involved learner.  If you’d prefer not to lead a lesson, you can sign up as a participant.  As our template, we use the Person of Jesus study.

Before the Workshop:  Trainees will receive the lesson they will be leading, via email, a week in advance of the training.  They will need to read through it three times prior to the workshop.

Friday Evening November 1, 2019 (6:00 – 9:00): A seeJesus trainer will lead a lesson and go over the essentials of leading an interactive Bible study.  Then, those trainees leading the same lesson will meet in a group with a trainer and get "focused feedback" as they teach through a portion of their lesson, being interrupted throughout the lesson.

Saturday November 2, 2019 (8:00 – 3:00):  Each trainee teaches his lesson for 40 minutes to a small group of 5-8 people, with spiritual reflection and evaluation after each lesson.

Feel free to explore before or after the training to learn more.  Here’s a link to an explanation about our interactive Bible study style:  . And here's a link to all kinds of fun free resources:
